General Wedding Day Schedule

Use this as a general guideline in preparing your specific schedule.  Put your own times in as appropriate.  Make sure everyone in the family and wedding party, as well as all of your vendors, understands their part in the schedule.

Wedding party and family get to ceremony location (Bride and her helpers first, as she'll take longest!)

Decoration of ceremony location and dressing of wedding party

Pictures before ceremony (sometimes all done during and after)

Ceremony

Receiving line (if outside ceremony location) (Wedding party and parents)

Cocktails at Reception location and (separately) Pictures of bride and groom (bride and groom may want to eat then also)

Receiving line (if doing this at reception)

Introduction of the wedding party (as they enter, done by MC/disc jockey/band)

Toasts

Meal is served (Bridal couple may choose to eat earlier or later and mingle during this time.)

Dancing (if having a dance): bride and groom first, then father/daughter, then mother/son, then everyone

Cake cutting

Bouquet and garter toss

More dancing

Bride and Groom leave

Guests leave
